Gayle’s Background and Teaching Style
Gayle began studying piano in the second grade and continued through college. When she was 15, Gayle was mentored by Alexander Mylinarski as to the “Art of Teaching.” She taught piano lessons throughout high school and college.
After a rewarding 20-year career as a Montessori school teacher, Gayle opened her Leavenworth studio to piano lessons. Her teaching method is a blend of the “Art of Teaching” and the Montessori approach – which guides the educator to understand each person’s unique learning style and how to meet them where they are. She embraces teaching filled with humor and the joy of learning. With this unique approach, students learn how to play piano, as well as discipline, organization and taking personal responsibility for learning.
